Frequently asked questions

What is a group class monthly membership?

For $150/month, you will get unlimited access to all of our group classes for 30 days.

When does the membership begin?

The membership begins the day it is purchased. We recommend that you purchase the membership a couple of days before the first class you would like to attend so that you have time to register for your first class (you cannot register yourself for classes that begin less than 24 hours in the future).

What classes are included in the membership?

Depending on the age of your dog/puppy, you will be able to register for Puppy/Teen Socials, Puppy Skills, Basic Manners, Intermediate Manners, Puppy Agility, Nosework, and any specialty classes or workshops scheduled for that month.

Why do I have to start with Attention & Focus class?

Attention & Focus is our prerequisite class that all dogs and puppies must complete as their first class (Puppy/Teen Socials are the only class exempt from this requirement; those you can start right away!) In Attention & Focus, we will cover the basic information and skills that you and your dog will need in order to be successful in our other group classes.

Can I sign up for just one month?

Yes, though attending classes for multiple months is encouraged as we add new classes regularly! Keep in mind that the membership auto-renews on the same day of each month until you cancel. If you would only like to attend one month of classes, you will need to remember to cancel your membership before it renews and charges your card for the next month.

How do I register for classes?

After purchasing the membership, you will receive an order confirmation email containing a link to schedule your classes for the month. We recommend that you schedule all of your classes for the month up front to increase the chances that you’ll be able to claim a spot in the classes you’re interested in attending. There is a login option on the homepage of our website for quick access to your account.

How many dogs are in each class?

Class sizes will vary depending on the specific topic. Most of our classes are capped at 5-8 dogs, though Puppy Socials can have up to 10 puppies in attendance.

Can I bring more than one dog with me to class?

If you would like to be able to bring a second dog with you to class, you can purchase a second membership at a 20% discount (contact us for link to purchase), and you will need to bring one handler per dog to class. When registering for classes, you will need to book two spots. If you have two dogs but are planning to only bring one dog to each class, your dogs can share one membership.

Can my family/children come to class?

Absolutely! We love when the whole family gets involved in the training process! If you are bringing children under the age of 8, we ask that you have one adult dedicated to the dog and a separate adult dedicated to keeping the kiddos comfortable and safe during class. Please do not allow your child to approach or attempt to pet other dogs in class or at our facility, as not all dogs have experience with or are comfortable around kids. Handlers must be at least 16 years of age in order to hold the leash in class.

What if I need to cancel a class last minute? Do you offer make up sessions?

With the membership you are not penalized for canceling classes last minute, though we do ask that you notify us in advance if at all possible so that we may offer your spot to another client. We do not offer make up sessions, but you can reschedule a class within your membership dates at no additional cost or penalty.

Can I repeat classes?

Yes! You are welcome (and encouraged) to repeat classes if your dog needs more practice with certain behaviors or themes. Our instructors are happy to adjust the level of challenge to match your dog’s skill level, so repeating classes is a great way to advance your dog’s training!

What do I need to bring with me to class?

- Your dog (on either a plain collar or a harness) - A standard 4-6’ leash (no retractable leashes) - 2 cups worth of tiny, cut up treats (we recommend something soft and stinky like cheese, chicken or hot dogs) - Something to put your treats in that can be attached to your body (e.g. treat pouch, fanny pack, apron with pockets) - A busy project to occupy your dog during training breaks (e.g. bully stick, stuffed kong, bone)

Can I pause my membership if I’m going to miss a few weeks of class?

Unfortunately, we are unable to pause memberships except in very rare cases of dog illness or injury. If you will be unable to attend classes for a few weeks, we would recommend canceling your membership (there are no partial refunds for unused weeks) and then re-joining the membership when you are ready to enroll in classes again.

Can I just sign up for individual classes instead of the membership?

At this time the only classes that can be purchased individually are Puppy/Teen Socials. You can also purchase a package of 10 Puppy/Teen Socials at a discounted rate. All other classes require purchase of a group class membership.

Can I come observe a class before I purchase my membership?

Yes, you are welcome to audit a class without your dog to get a feel for how we run our group classes. We ask that you look at the class calendar, and then email us to let us know which class you would like to come observe so that our instructors know to expect you.

My dog hasn’t been spayed/neutered yet. Can they still come to class?

Yes, your dog can still attend classes even if s/he has not been spayed or neutered yet.

What vaccinations does my dog need in order to attend class?

All dogs and puppies coming to our facility must be current on their age appropriate vaccinations, including bordetella, distemper/parvo, and rabies (if the dog is 4 months of age or older). You will either upload a copy of these records when registering for your first class, or you can email the records to
