covid-19 safety protocols

Training Center reopening with safety measures in place

We're excited to see you and your dogs again! We want to ensure you that we're first and foremost concerned with keeping ourselves and our clients safe and healthy. With that in mind, please familiarize yourself with our updated safety protocols, which we are asking all clients to adhere to while in the building:

CHECK IN/OUT:

  • All staff and clients must wear a mask or face covering when at our facility. We will have clean masks available for use for anyone who needs to borrow one.

  • We will be checking dogs in and out via the fenced-in turf area outside of the gym to minimize person-to-person contact.

  • A staff member will attend to the entrance and keep an eye out for arrivals to be able to check dogs in in a timely fashion.

  • When you arrive (and if no other clients are already in the fenced turf area), please bring your leashed dog into the fenced-in area through the gate, close the gate behind you. Please only one person/dog in the fenced area at a time.

  • For check in, once the staff member gives you the "okay", please remove ALL of your dog's equipment (harness, collar, leash, etc.) You will take their equipment home with you and bring it back for pick up.

  • Our staff members will be waiting in the gym with slip-leads and will call your dog to them for leashing and kenneling.

  • For check out, call your dog to you and put on their equipment (PLEASE NOTE: All dogs MUST be on leash when entering or leaving our property).

  • Once your dog is leashed, you may open the gate and exit with your dog, and close the gate behind you.

  • Please maintain at least 6 feet of distance from staff and other clients.

PRIVATE TRAINING:

  • All staff and clients must wear a mask or face covering when at our facility. We will have clean masks available for use for anyone who needs to borrow one.

  • Only one person may attend the private session. We ask that children remain at home until restrictions are lifted further.

  • Please maintain at least 6 feet of distance from staff and other clients while arriving, leaving, and for the duration of your lesson.

  • Please wash your hands upon arrival and after coughing, sneezing, or touching your face.

  • Refrain from bringing in personal items other than what is needed for your lesson.

And as always, remain home if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 (coughing, fever, shortness of breath, trouble breathing) or if you have been in contact with someone who is symptomatic.

We ask for your patience, as some of these practices are new to us and may require some ironing out. Also, please know that while our procedure changes may seem overly cautious, it is part of our embedded philosophy that we always err on the side of protecting the safety and welfare of the people and dogs who we serve, and we consider ourselves responsible to uphold those same standards with respect to our community as well.

THANK YOU for your support through this difficult time! We can't wait to see you and your dog!
